Currectly the spacing is way too small and sometimes it is hard to distinguish between those three types of lines

I'm not aware of being able to change those settings.

For printed output, dash spacing is controlled under Application Options, look in the General section of the Print settings.

I don't know of a way to change how lines are displayed on screen.
